Do you want to improve your core strength, flexibility and mobility while ensuring that you are exercising in a safe, low impact way ? Then Pilates is definitely something for you!

Created in the 1920s by the physical trainer Joseph Pilates for the purpose of rehabilitation, to strengthen the bodies and heal the aches and pains of the returning soldiers, Pilates has gained a lot of notoriety at Hollywood as an excellent training regimen for actors and dancers. And for a good reason, too.

Among the many benefits of Pilates, one can name:

- increasing core strength, flexibility and mobility

- improving posture, body awareness and balance

- decreasing back pain  and preventing injuries

- increasing energy and sports performance

No wonder that Pilates is such a beloved form of exercise, which can work amazingly well in combination with other sports, due to its low impact nature enabling it to be practices in-between training sessions or during a break or when recovering from an injury.

I am a firm believer in the benefits of Pilates, as I have been practicing it myself for more than 20 years and I am still reaping a lot of benefits while also enjoying it tremendously.
